I am a UK Chartered Architect, I qualified as an Architect in 2011 after completing the standard seven-year course. Four years after qualifying I decided to switch from design to conservation and spent 2 years working to preserve some of the UK’s most valuable historic structures. My daughter was born at the end of 2016 and after maternity leave, I decided to jump back into the design-led world of Architecture, I now work for a practice which concentrates on renovating and extending listed buildings and creating new builds in conservation areas.

This blog is a collection of thoughts and experiences that I have had both as an Architect and as a Mother.
